There is a link to some NE Islands (Ikaria, Samos and ovens) and the Dodecanese (once or twice a week in summer). Ferries dock in the capital Parikia, on the west coast and the small airport on the island in the southern part.

Natural attractions in Paros

Parikia, the capital, is the biggest settlement, but Naoussa is the place that you see in most images. Naoussa is the old capital of Paros, famous for its authentic fishing port and old quarter with tortuous streets.

It's also a meeting point for artists and artisans, and many of the shops sell original handmade souvenirs and clothing. Other tourist coastal settlements Piso Livadi, Aliki and Parasporos. The villages in the interior are suitable for walking, especially Lefkes, Marpisa and Kostos.

Paros is very rich in beaches and almost all are sandy, shallow water. There are well organized beaches with beach bars, entertainment and water sports and isolated, which will meet few people.

The village is called Castro as it is built around the walls of an ancient Venetian fortress, the remains of which are still visible. Another interesting object of Antiparos are sea caves, which can be reached only by boat.

Interesting places to visit in Paros: Old Town Parikia a Frankish castle, the little fishing port and old quarter in Naoussa, Venetian fortress in Naoussa, Valley of the Butterflies Nature Park near Parikia, Monastery of Agios Antonis near Marpisa from which see almost the entire island, authentic villages and Lefkes Marpisa.
