Natural attractions in Trinidad

If you want to see shipwrecked ships, Maverick Ferry is the best place. The ruins, lying 30 meters deep and stretching over 100 meters in length, are home to many seafarers. The place is a paradise for nature lovers, with its 9,780 acres of tropical forests.

The reserve is home to interesting animal and plant species such as wild boar, bats, snakes, lizards and arm-bears, as well as about 220-270 bird species. You could hire a guide to take you in the forests where there are very rare bird species. Kitesurf is the favorite activity of young people.

In Trinidad there are many beaches with soft white sand and plenty of palm trees - a perfect place to shoot a classic postcard. Here you can practice various non-motorized water sports such as windsurfing, kayaking and kite surfing. Kitesurfing combines windsurfing, surfing, paragliding and gymnastics in an extreme sport that is definitely not for people with weak hearts.

If you have the courage and desire to learn, you can rent out equipment and take a few kitesurfing lessons. Kayak in the Caroni Swamp Forest Reserve. Caroni Swamp Forest Reserve is located about 10 miles southwest of the capital of Port of Spain and covers about 7,855 acres of mangrove forests, swamps and shrubs.

There is a wide variety of wild animals, including blue crabs, crayons, snakes and many birds. You can explore the reserve, kayaking or joining one of the excursions that are held here every day. Immerse yourself in a pool of natural asphalt.

Pitch Lake in Trinidad is the largest natural asphalt pool covering 99 acres.
